Designed by Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, the Chogan™ Hatchet is based on a classic rifleman’s tomahawk hatchet from 1804. Made from a solid chunk of 1055 carbon steel that is hot forged into a rock-solid head, this multipurpose tool splits the work of setting up your campsite in half. Whether you are processing kindling or clearing a perimeter, it brings historical reliability to the modern woodsman.
The Chogan Hatchet features a 4.5" head crafted from high-durability 1055 carbon steel, finished with a black manganese phosphate coating for superior corrosion resistance. Unlike the traditional wood-handled versions, this model utilizes a high-impact, bolt-on orange Glass Reinforced Nylon (GRN) handle with a deep-textured grip. This ensures maximum control and visibility in dense brush or low-light conditions. Its full-tang-style strength and balanced weight distribution make it an indispensable tool for heavy-duty chopping and outdoor survival tasks.
4.5" 1055 Carbon Steel head with a Black Manganese Phosphate finish and a specialized Hatchet profile.
High-visibility Orange Glass Reinforced Nylon (GRN) handle with aggressive texturing for a secure, all-weather grip.
Hot-forged construction for maximum structural integrity and impact resistance.
Overall length of 13.19" and a substantial 2.14 lb weight for powerful, efficient chopping.
